Role Summary:

The Volunteer Business Growth Specialist, Carbon Project Development will drive the expansion and scalability of carbon projects by identifying growth opportunities, partnerships, and funding pathways. This role ensures that carbon initiatives are strategically positioned for market success, sustainability, and long-term impact through business development and growth strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and develop growth opportunities for carbon projects, including new markets, partnerships, and funding sources.
  • Build and manage relationships with stakeholders, including investors, partners, and carbon market participants.
  • Support go-to-market strategies and positioning for carbon projects and related initiatives.
  • Collaborate with technical and program teams to align business strategies with project development goals.
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to inform growth and expansion strategies.

Requirements:

  • Background in business development, economics, finance, or a related field.
  • Experience in business growth, partnerships, or strategy development.
  • Strong understanding of carbon markets, climate solutions, or sustainability initiatives.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with carbon project development or climate finance.
  • Familiarity with market analysis, fundraising, or investor engagement.
  • Experience working on nonprofit, environmental, or impact-driven projects.
