Buffalo Tungsten has been a leading manufacturer and global supplier of high purity tungsten powder. We have a strong commitment to quality assurance, competitive pricing, and short lead times. We have over three decades of experience and maintain a sole focus on producing powdered tungsten materials through a hydrogen reduction process. We have supplied customers in over 40 countries throughout the world. In addition to pure tungsten powder, we also produce tungsten carbide powder and tungsten carbide based thermal spray powders. Buffalo Tungsten is part of Sandvik group and organizationally belongs to the Powder Solutions division within the business area Sandvik Machining.

Shift: 7PM-7AM, Wed-Fri, every other Sat

Pay: Starting Wage $31-$37/hour based on experience. Shift Differential of $1.00/hour

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

Maintenance Technician

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining a wide range of production and plant equipment. including advanced electrical, mechanical and automated systems. This role requires strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to perform technical repairs. Conduct preventive maintenance and complete repair work orders for production equipment.Conduct building maintenance tasks.

The scope of work spans from routine tasks to specialized work involving mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, ventilation, electrical and robotic systems as part of a Maintenance team in a manufacturing environment.

Your Background & Profile:

  • Have a Safety-First mindset
  • Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment and facility systems.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues to restore equipment functionality.
  • Inspect and test machinery to identify potential problems and implement solutions before failures occur.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals to perform accurate repairs.
  • Collaborate with production and engineering teams to support equipment upgrades and process improvements.
  • Document all maintenance activities, including repairs, parts used, and time spent, in CMMS for accurate tracking.
  • Assist in installation and commissioning of new machinery and equipment.
  • Ability to perform basic welding repairs and light metal fabrication activities to support maintenance operations is a plus.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Manager or Team Leader.

Education/Experience:

  • Minimum of High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Technical certification or associates degree preferred.
  • Previous experience in manufacturing maintenance or other related fields is beneficial

Shift: 7PM-7AM, Wed-Fri, every other Sat

Pay: Starting Wage $30-$36/hour based on experience.
