BLISS Car Wash is looking for a Maintenance Technician to join our rapidly growing team.

JOB SUMMARY:
As a Car Wash Maintenance Technician you will assist with the removal, replacement, and troubleshooting of existing car wash/support equipment and perform preventative and corrective maintenance of car wash equipment, electrical/electronic components, and welding of structural equipment on Bliss and Full-Service Car Wash locations as determined by the Maintenance Team Leader.

Typical Schedule is from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
Additional site repairs or assistance may be requested during car wash operational hours.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Troubleshoot electrical, electronic, plumbing, and mechanical issues with equipment and determine the process for repairs. Complete repairs as required.
  • Troubleshoot and repair structural issues with equipment when welding is required.
  • Analyze issues reported by GSA’s through work orders dispatched, fix, or create a list of parts if required, and request them.
  • Assistance with the installation of new equipment.
  • Assistance with the replacement of old equipment.
  • Identify possible issues with equipment that have not been reported and create work orders.
  • Run equipment through "cycles" to ensure the complete system is functioning properly.
  • Maintain company assets, including service vehicles, tools, and equipment.
  • Assist other departments on site to install/procure marketing, safety, or operational equipment, materials, or tools as instructed.
  • Complete company forms and reports accurately and completely, including SRT records, Time logs of daily work, and store visits. A technician may be dispatched or routed via Work Orders or calls.
  • Transport equipment, supplies or tools from site to site or warehouse to site as needed.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of equipment changes or modifications through various resources such as maintenance manuals and service bulletins.
  • Complete work orders, expense reports, and gas reports.
  • Maintain proper inventory of parts on the service vehicle.
  • Keep the maintenance team leader informed of all significant problems, progress, or barriers to success.
  • Comply with all applicable OHSA, ESA, and other provincial regulatory laws, as well as company safety policies.
  • Any other duties as assigned by the maintenance team leader.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
  • Ability to follow instructions.
  • 3 years of experience in carwash plumbing and mechanical.
  • Good troubleshooting, problem-solving, and diagnostic skills.
  • Knowledge and proper use of small and large hand tools.
  • Basic computer and networking skills.
  • Ability to learn through manufacturer's training, manuals, service bulletins, or self-motivated research.
  • Forklift experience and/or ability to obtain Forklift certification.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
  • Uphold the company's vehicle and personnel policies.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Neat, clean, professional appearance.
  • Able to lift 75lbs, climb ladders, and stand for long periods of time.
  • Follow and retain instructions and training.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to make quality control and efficiency decisions.
  • Ability to read electrical and hydraulic schematics, as well as installation drawings and blueprints.
  • Knowledge of low voltage, single and three phase power, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Metal fabrication and welding skills.
  • Cooper, PVC, and Stainless-Steel welding/assembling experience.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Ability to lift items up to 75 lbs.
  • Ability to bend intermittently and repeatedly, stoop, kneel, reach, twist, perform repetitive motions using hands to grasp, push, pull, or do fine manipulations, climb ladders, and stand for prolonged periods.
