Job description

We are looking for an experienced Used Car Service Technician to join our growing team! The right candidate will have a strong automotive repair background, solid diagnostic skills, and experience working on a wide variety of makes and models. ASE certifications are preferred, and manufacturer certifications are a plus. The day-to-day duties include diagnosing vehicle concerns, performing repairs, and preparing pre-owned inventory to meet our quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities
  • Perform work specified on repair orders efficiently and in accordance with dealership standards
  • Diagnose, maintain, and repair a variety of automotive systems, including engine, transmission, suspension, steering, brakes, electrical, heating and air conditioning systems
  • Inspect and recondition used vehicle inventory for retail sale
  • Test-drive vehicles and test components and systems using diagnostic tools and service equipment
  • Perform multi-point inspections and identify needed repairs or maintenance
  • Communicate directly with Service Advisors and management regarding vehicle status and additional repair recommendations
  • Complete repairs according to manufacturer and dealership standards
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Stay up to date on new vehicle technology and repair procedures across multiple brands
Qualifications
  • 2+ years of automotive technician experience preferred
  • Experience working on multiple makes and models is strongly preferred
  • ASE Certifications preferred
  • Manufacturer certifications are a plus
  • Strong diagnostic, electrical, and mechanical repair skills
  • Ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong attention to detail and quality control mindset
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Basic computer skills
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
