What You'll Do...
  • Build and manage field service team of 12 - 15 employees who travel to customer locations to perform preventive maintenance and repair services
  • Manages service team members in Southern California
  • Manage scheduling and training of field service technicians and chemical delivery specialists
  • Establish performance goals for designated team of technicians. Coach and guide direct reports in order to deliver company expectations in safety compliance, quality, customer satisfaction
  • Provide leadership, technical guidance, and continuing education in all areas of field operations to improve the quality of service and "own the bay" behaviors
  • Monitor and manage expenses, revenue, and margin targets
  • Review financial statements and data and utilize information to improve profitability.
  • Prepare and control operational budgets and inventory
  • Plan effective strategies for the financial well-being of the business unit
  • Communicate with customer and travel to assigned locations to promote good customer relations, ensure quality service and secure contracts
  • Act as primary point of resolution for escalating customer issues and/or complaints, as well as internal/local concerns and complaints; resolves or escalates matters as necessary
  • Monitor service metrics and KPI's
  • Conduct QC's, field audits, site safety audits, and damage claim assessments

What You Need...
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelors' degree preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in field service
  • Minimum of 3 years' managing an electro-mechanical team; proven history of ability to train, organize, lead, and motivate a team to succeed
  • Overnight travel will be required
  • Strong business acumen including understanding of P&L, financials and KPI's
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Possess a strong electrical-mechanical skill set
  • Strategic thinker with proven track record in problem solving and analysis
  • Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office and Google
  • Strong negotiation skills required
  • Willingness and ability to travel overnight within the Southern California territory
  • Valid California Driver's License (or valid driver's license in state of residence; CA DL required if based in CA)
  • Clean driving record meeting NCS policy; consent to participate in the California DMV Employer Pull Notice (EPN) Program
  • Ability to prioritize multiple customer needs and/or conflicting priorities
  • Six Sigma and/or Lean certification is a plus
  • Knowledge of carwash equipment preferred
Physical Requirements & Work Environment
This is a field-based role requiring regular travel, site visits, and physical presence in car wash and industrial environments. The following are essential physical functions of this position:
  • Ability to travel, including overnight stays, within the Southern California territory
  • Ability to perform site audits involving extended walking, standing, bending, and climbing
  • Ability to work in outdoor environments and be exposed to varying weather conditions, noise, water, and cleaning chemicals
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 75lbs occasionally
  • Ability to operate a company vehicle safely in compliance with NCS driving policy

Compensation, Benefits and Application Information
Target Salary Range: $92,186-115,232. Actual compensation is determined by experience, education, and geographic location.
The salary range above reflects NCS's good-faith estimate of the compensation range expected to be paid upon hire for this role, in compliance with California Labor Code Section 432.3 and SB 642 (effective January 1, 2026). NCS does not inquire about or consider prior salary history in making compensation decisions.
  • This is an exempt, fill-time position
  • Incentive Pay: This position is not eligible for an annual performance-based bonus.
  • Benefits: Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision; HSA/FSA; matching 401(k); Basic Life/AD&D; and Long-term/Short-term disability.
  • Paid Leave: Competitive PTO and holiday pay. Employees accrue paid sick leave in accordance with the CO Healthy Families and Workplaces Act, and the CA Healthy Workplaces, Healthy Families Act.
