Position Overview

The Courtesy Car Representative is responsible for managing the daily operations of the dealership’s courtesy and loaner vehicle program. This role ensures vehicles are properly assigned, tracked, cleaned, and returned while providing exceptional customer service consistent with Mercedes-Benz brand standards.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Greet service customers professionally and explain the courtesy/loaner vehicle process

  • Check customers in and out of courtesy vehicles accurately and efficiently

  • Verify valid driver’s license, insurance, and required documentation

  • Coordinate vehicle availability with Service Advisors and management

  • Inspect vehicles before and after use and document any damage

  • Maintain accurate records of vehicle assignments and returns

  • Ensure courtesy vehicles are clean, fueled/charged, and ready for use

  • Coordinate vehicle cleaning, fueling, and basic maintenance as needed

  • Assist with vehicle movement, parking organization, and lot flow

  • Provide clear communication and exceptional customer service at all times

Marginal Duties
  • Assist with shuttle coordination or dealership transportation needs

  • Support service department operations as assigned

  • Other duties as needed to support dealership operations

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred

  • Valid California driver’s license with a clean driving record

  • Ability to drive automatic and manual transmission vehicles

  • Strong customer service and communication skills

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

  • Prior dealership, rental car, or customer service experience preferred

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the dealership for extended periods

  • Ability to enter and exit vehicles multiple times per day

  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs as needed
