Job description

GCA is seeking a full-time Deputy Program Manager (DPM) to provide direct support to our BPA Program Manager in the execution of all Task Orders (TOs) under a Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA). The DPM will play a critical supporting role in contract management, coordination, and oversight, ensuring successful delivery of both technical and business process requirements. The ideal candidate will be a proactive, detail-oriented professional who thrives in a collaborative environment and can assist the BPA Program Manager in maintaining quality, efficiency, and client satisfaction across all workstreams.
Key Responsibilities
  • Support the BPA Program Manager in day-to-day program operations, client interactions, and oversight of Task Orders.
  • Assist in coordinating and tracking activities across TOs to ensure performance requirements, milestones, and deliverables are met.
  • Partner with the Program Manager and Transition Manager to ensure smooth onboarding, transition, and closeout of TOs.
  • Contribute to program planning, resource allocation, and reporting to maintain alignment with contract objectives.
  • Support supervision of technical efforts, including assigning taskings, monitoring performance, and escalating issues to the Program Manager as needed.
  • Help identify, track, and mitigate programmatic risks while maintaining open communication with internal teams and stakeholders.
  • Prepare presentations, briefings, and status reports for the Program Manager, client stakeholders, and leadership.
  • Provide input into quality assurance efforts, including customer satisfaction tracking and issue resolution.
  • Collaborate with subcontractors and teaming partners to ensure cohesive program execution.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science/Engineering, Information Systems, Business, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience supporting program or project management in a federal contracting or enterprise IT environment.
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex IT architectures involving multiple operating systems, databases, networks, communications subsystems, and managed services.
  • Experience supervising large-scale operations involving user and network systems integration, leading diverse teams across multiple skill categories.
  • Experience in quality assurance environments, including customer satisfaction tracking, complaint resolution, and quality control programs.
  • Proven expertise in manpower utilization, training, problem resolution, and employee relations (including subcontractor or teaming partner management).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience presenting to senior stakeholders.
  • Experience supporting audits, including financial audits and Assessment and Authorization (A&A) reviews.
  • PMP, CAPM, or equivalent certification preferred but not required.
