Position Summary

The Project Support Specialist I provides administrative, operational, and frontline coordination support throughout the project lifecycle. This position works closely with project operations, internal field service technicians, subcontracted technicians, customers, and technical resources to help installations stay organized, documented, and on schedule. The role also assists with customer training and project closeout activities when needed.


Key Responsibilities

Serve as a primary support contact for internal and subcontracted field service technicians during installation, testing, and project closeout.

Coordinate project schedules, meetings, communications, site access information, technician assignments, and resource needs.

Maintain accurate and accessible project records, including work orders, schedules, status notes, customer contacts, progress documentation, and closeout materials.

Collect and organize field documentation such as technician notes, photos, device information, test results, and customer signoffs.

Track project milestones, deadlines, and deliverables; follow up on open items and promptly escalate schedule, scope, technical, or budget concerns.

Prepare and distribute clear project status updates and reports to internal stakeholders and customers as directed.

Provide frontline support for installation or testing issues by gathering details, documenting the problem, and coordinating with the appropriate technical resource.

Assist with customer training on the basic operation of security cameras, access control systems, and alarm systems.

Support the tracking of project expenditures and help verify that costs remain aligned with approved budgets.

Document lessons learned, best practices, and key outcomes from completed projects to support continuous improvement.


Required Qualifications

High school diploma or GED.

One to two years of experience in administrative support, project coordination, customer service, field service support, or a related role.

Strong organizational, time-management, follow-through, and documentation skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work professionally with customers, technicians, subcontractors, and internal teams.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-moving project environment.

Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications and the ability to learn project management and field service platforms.

Technical aptitude and willingness to learn the fundamentals of video surveillance, access control, alarm, network, and low-voltage systems.

Ability to work onsite at Logic LC's Essington office during the standard schedule; occasional scheduling flexibility may be required based on project needs.


Preferred Qualifications

Associate degree or higher in business, project management, information technology, or a related field.

Experience supporting security, low-voltage, construction, information technology, or multi-site field service projects.

Experience with project or work-management tools such as Smartsheet, Microsoft Project, Trello, or comparable platforms.

Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) certification at the time of hire.


Training and Certification Expectations
