Job description

Position Summary


This is an ONSITE position located in Dallas, TX, and surrounding sites.


National Capitol Contracting (NCC) is seeking a detail-oriented and technically proficient  IT Support Specialist to provide critical support to a Federal Agency’s Regional Emergency Operations Center (REOC). In this key role, you will be responsible for ensuring the seamless operation of all conference room systems and collaboration technologies that are vital to emergency response coordination.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide technical and operational support including:
    • Information Technology (IT) including PCs, Laptops, Printers, LAN/WAN, etc.
    • Strong understanding of Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), including SharePoint and Teams.
    • Audio/Visual (AV) systems used for presentations and conferencing.
    • Mobile Devices including iPhones, iPads, Air Cards/Mobile hotspots, etc.
    • Other systems and technologies as required, including but not limited to Fleet and Property management, telecom services, IT Service Management (ITSM), and other customer-specific systems and applications.

Minimum Requirements

  • Valid driver's license required; must be able to travel to various job sites as needed.
  • Must be able to obtain a Public Trust clearance (Must be able to pass a government background and credit check).
  • Associate degree in a related technical IT field or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in a similar role and in a problem-resolution role and experience supporting MS Office Suite.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Superior organizational skills.
  • Prompt, dependable, and able to work outside of core hours if required.
  • Strong self-starter and can work independently.
  • Demonstrated communication skills within the team and other contractors as well as 3rd party vendors.


Special Position Requirements

Travel: Must have a valid driver's license to travel to surrounding sites.

Schedule: Monday-Friday, with some evening and weekend hours as needed by customer. The support services are to be provided at a main site in Downtown Dallas, TX, a remote site, and remote field locations as required to support the REOC during both standby and activated modes.
