Description

Purpose of this Job: 

This job is responsible for Fixed Assets, Construction in Progress, Month-End Close, Fixed Asset Audits and General Accounting.


Principle Duties/Essential Functions: 

  • Provide management with reliable, accurate, and timely accounting information
  • Balance Sheet reconciliations, preparing schedules and analysis
  • Maintaining standard cost and future cost
  • Expense management analysis and various reports that are assigned by the management
  • Maintaining chart of accounts and approving GL coding for the purchase orders
  • Maintaining the capital investment budget and accounting schedules for construction in progress, fixed assets, and   depreciation
  • Fixed assets management


Other Tasks/Responsibilities:

  • Ensure effective controls are maintained through JSOX compliance
  • Support in the month end/quarterly close planning with the Accounting Manager
  • Coordinate and lead the audit of fixed assets
  • Effectively function on departmental and cross-functional teams to improve processes and control company assets
  • Assist in quarterly financial reviews and annual audit by providing documentation and answering auditor questions
  • Responsible for awareness and compliance with company Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) policies, procedures and regulatory requirements. Contributing to the effectiveness of the EHS policies and procedures by communicating and reporting unsafe conditions and/or non-compliances.

Requirements

Education:

Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field


Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

3-5 years of general accounting experience

Experience with ERP accounting system in a manufacturing environment will be an added advantage

Thorough knowledge of accounting theory, concepts and practices applicable to accounting requirements

Proficient in MS Word, Excel

Software: SAP, AS400, IQMS


Licenses or Certifications:

N/A

Position requires lengthy period sitting, typing and looking at computer monitor

Must have ability to work under pressure and be able to meet deadlines
