WHAT YOU'LL DO | THE OPPORTUNITY
Responsible for the financial planning and analyses of restaurant sales, food costs, general & administrative expenses (G&A), capital expenditures and real estate for Maple Street and effectively communicate the results with appropriate personnel. Also serve as a financial resource for various departments (i.e. purchasing, operations) in order to achieve company initiatives.
  • Strategic Skills/ Business Performance Management/ Specific Technical Skills: Responsible for understanding the business strategy and objectives and applying to the financial planning and analysis of restaurant sales, food costs, G&A, capital expenditures and real estate for Maple Street.
  • Coordination and communication of planning and analysis with other departments including the IT Dept. for efficient processes
  • Responsible for researching, communicating, publishing and maintaining financial planning and analysis reports for senior management as required
  • Systems knowledge and applications and decision support and analysis: Responsible for understanding and utilizing the current system applications to analyze, manipulate and model data efficiently and effectively
  • Uses financial knowledge and understanding of the business to provide structured processes and analyses; able to recommend value creating strategies and decisions through the intelligent application of well established tools and techniques.
  • Leadership/Development skills / Other: Provide functional and project leadership and development of personnel.
  • Serve as additional resource for all areas of the department; complete ad hoc analysis and reports as requested; provide financial/operational support as requested by management.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business or Finance and relevant years of experience to the job level.
  • CPA or MBA certifications preferred
  • Excellent oral, written, presentation and time-management skills.
  • Proficient computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (with strong emphasis on Excel and database skills).
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
  • Solid mathematical skills and very logical approach to problem solving required
  • Knowledge of financial analyses, budgeting/planning and forecasting concepts and processes.
  • Knowledge of restaurant and/or retail industry, operations and trends.
  • Project management skills and/or cross-departmental teamwork experience.
  • Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
