Lead Programs That Support Those Who Served

We’re seeking an experienced Program Manager for an upcoming opportunity at the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center in Houston. This role is ideal for a certified project management professional who can lead complex facility programs, coordinate stakeholders, and keep critical initiatives on schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Manage facility, maintenance, renovation, and capital programs
  • Develop work plans, milestones, and integrated schedules
  • Track performance, risks, issues, resources, and dependencies
  • Prepare status reports, leadership briefings, and decision materials
  • Coordinate contractors, VA leaders, clinical teams, and other stakeholders
  • Communicate outages, construction impacts, and major risks
  • Lead status meetings and recommend process improvements
  • Ensure compliance with task-order and VA requirements

Qualifications

  • Current Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
  • At least 10 years of relevant experience
  • Experience managing complex programs and project portfolios
  • Strong scheduling, reporting, and resource-planning skills
  • Experience managing risks, issues, milestones, and performance metrics
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder communication skills
  • Experience supporting leadership decisions and continuous improvement
