Maintenance Manager

BestLogic Staffing is recruiting an experienced Maintenance Manager for a growing manufacturing organization. This individual will lead all facility and equipment maintenance activities, manage the maintenance team, and ensure production equipment operates safely, reliably, and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, coach, and develop maintenance technicians and support personnel.
  • Plan and oversee preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities.
  • Maintain production machinery, facility systems, utilities, and supporting equipment.
  • Reduce equipment downtime through root-cause analysis and corrective action.
  • Develop maintenance schedules that support production requirements.
  • Manage the computerized maintenance management system, work orders, maintenance records, and spare-parts inventory.
  • Establish and track maintenance performance indicators, including downtime, response time, preventive maintenance completion, and equipment reliability.
  • Coordinate equipment installations, upgrades, repairs, and capital improvement projects.
  • Manage relationships with outside contractors, equipment suppliers, and service providers.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA requirements, company safety policies, environmental standards, and applicable regulations.
  • Support continuous-improvement, lean-manufacturing, and cost-reduction initiatives.
  • Prepare and manage the maintenance department's operating and capital budgets.
  • Collaborate with production, engineering, quality, and operations leadership.
  • Provide hands-on technical support when complex equipment issues arise.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, industrial technology, facilities management, or a related field preferred.
  • Five or more years of industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience.
  • Previous maintenance leadership or supervisory experience required.
  • Strong knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
  • Experience troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and automated equipment.
  • Familiarity with PLC-controlled machinery, industrial controls, HVAC, compressors, boilers, and facility systems is preferred.
  • Experience using a CMMS or similar maintenance-management platform.
  • Strong leadership, planning, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Working knowledge of OSHA standards, lockout/tagout procedures, and industrial safety practices.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
  • Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous-improvement experience.
  • Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional or similar certification.
  • Experience managing capital projects and equipment installations.
