Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Transmission Analyst with knowledge or experience in Transmission Lines to support the closeout of transmission capital projects. This role ensures accurate reconciliation of project charges after construction completion, working closely with Engineering, Supply Chain, Property Accounting, Construction, and Compliance teams. The ideal candidate will have a background in transmission line design, construction, or maintenance and strong analytical skills to evaluate variances and ensure compliance with project closeout procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate the capital project closeout process for transmission substation and line projects.
  • Research and resolve variances between actuals and estimates related to project charges.
  • Manage the reconciliation and closing of transmission capital projects in accordance with company procedures.
  • Track and report on project closeout status, ensuring timely and accurate documentation.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed reports, analyses, and records of closeout activities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Supply Chain, Accounting, and Project Management.
  • Leverage customer-focused relationships to ensure effective communication with stakeholders.
  • Provide insights into materials, labor, and scope alignment for completed line projects.

Qualifications

Education

  • Associate's or two-year technical degree required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology strongly preferred.

Experience

  • Prior experience supporting power utility transmission capital projects required.
  • Strongly preferred: hands-on knowledge or experience in Transmission Lines design, construction, operation, or maintenance.
  • Familiarity with project closeout, cost reconciliation, and variance analysis.

Knowledge & Skills

  • Understanding of transmission line construction scope, equipment, materials, and associated costs.
  • Experience with TEAMS (Transmission Estimating and Management System), Maximo, Vault, and/or PowerPlan preferred.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Analytical ability to manage large data sets, research discrepancies, and provide solutions.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and competing deadlines.
  • Collaborative mindset with proven teamwork skills.
