Zayo Group is a fast-growing facilities-based telecommunications service provider located in Denver, CO. We are seeking an experienced Capital Accounting Manager with the ability to lead a team of 7-10 accountants in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment to join our accounting department. Our ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of GAAP Capitalization rules, Project Accounting and Fixed Assets.

Location: Our ideal candidate will reside in the Denver Metro area and be able to work in a hybrid capacity out of our downtown Denver office (1401 Wynkoop) 2 days a week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee a team of 7-10 staff and senior accountants team including assisting in professional development and cultivating a positive team environment
  • Review of monthly account reconciliations related to capital reporting
  • Prepare monthly variance reporting for capital accounts and investigate significant fluctuations to ensure accurate accounting
  • Management of Construction Service projects and COGS accruals
  • Ensure an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close as it relates to Capital reporting
  • Review of Capital Accounting team's work to ensure accuracy and compliance of SOX controls and established company policies
  • Develop and implement projects and programs to assist in accomplishment of established goals
  • Assist in Quarter/Year-End Audit schedules and requests
  • Other duties as needed


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting with 5+ years relevant accounting experience showing progressive growth in related accounting role
  • Minimum of 5 (five) years of management experience (team of 7+ employees)
  • Experience in Project Accounting, Fixed Assets and WIP (Work in Progress) desired
  • Experience with Oracle Fusion Cloud desired
  • Intermediate to Advanced Excel Skills required
  • Work effectively under stressful conditions and exercise initiative, sound judgment and react with discretion under varying conditions
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational and time management skills
  • Manage a high-volume workload efficiently and effectively; multi-task and have high energy with a strong work ethic
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Knowledge of telecommunications industry, a plus

Estimated Base Salary Range: $71,800 - $121,000 USD/annually

The base pay range shown is a guideline and reasonable estimate for this role. It takes into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions. Actual compensation offered may vary from the posted range based upon geographic location, work experience, skill level, certifications, and other business and organizational needs. Non- sales roles may be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive plan. Sales roles may be eligible to participate in a sales incentive plan.


Additionally, this position may be eligible for certain benefits, such as health insurance, life insurance, disability retirement plans, paid time off.
