Job description

Position Overview
The Marketing Analyst drives data-backed decision-making for strategic outreach, stakeholder engagement, and recruitment or adoption campaigns within cleared government, defense, or public sector environments. This role is responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting marketing performance metrics, web analytics, campaign reach, and stakeholder sentiment. Working at the intersection of communications, data analytics, and program management, the ideal candidate evaluates multi-channel program performance, optimizes audience targeting, and translates complex performance data into actionable growth strategies and executive briefings.
Key Responsibilities
  • Track, measure, and analyze performance across multi-channel initiatives, including digital campaigns, outreach efforts, social media, email marketing, events, and internal communications programs.
  • Design, build, and maintain automated performance dashboards and recurring reports (weekly, monthly, quarterly) to communicate reach, engagement, conversion rates, and ROI to senior leadership and program managers.
  • Perform target audience research, demographic analysis, and behavioral segmentation to refine messaging strategies, improve campaign targeting, and enhance stakeholder alignment.
  • Formulate testable hypotheses, set up A/B and multivariate tests across digital channels and landing pages, and provide data-driven recommendations to continuously improve engagement metrics.
  • Conduct market research, trend analysis, and benchmark studies to identify emerging channels, best practices, and innovative strategies tailored to defense, federal, or B2G/B2B landscapes.
  • Work closely with creative teams, strategic communications specialists, content writers, and digital developers to align creative execution with performance data and analytical findings.
  • Establish and refine multi-touch attribution models to evaluate the true impact of diverse marketing touchpoints across long-cycle engagement funnels.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Statistics, Communications, or a related field.
  • Minimum of six (6) years of professional experience in marketing analytics, digital marketing analysis, audience research, or business intelligence supporting public sector, defense, or corporate outreach programs.
  • Must be able to obtain an active U.S. Government Security Clearance (Public Trust required).
  • Superior quantitative, analytical, and storytelling skills with a demonstrated ability to present complex data visually and concisely to non-technical executive stakeholders.

Technical & Analytical Expertise:
  • Advanced proficiency in data visualization and reporting tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Google Looker Studio).
  • Strong working knowledge of web and digital analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics 4/GA4, Adobe Analytics, or specialized intranet/government web analytics platforms).
  • Hands-on experience with CRM and marketing automation platforms (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Marketo, or GovDelivery).
  • Expertise in Excel for data manipulation (pivot tables, complex formulas, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, data modeling).
  • Familiarity with federal communications standards, Section 508 compliance, and privacy regulations governing public sector data collection.
  • Background in B2G (Business-to-Government), recruitment marketing, or strategic communications within defense, intelligence, or government

This role may be eligible for other compensation including variable compensation, bonus, or commission. Full time regular employees are eligible for paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401(k), and any other benefits to eligible employees.
