Job description

OYC Miami Capacity Building & Economic Mobility Program
OYC Miami's AmeriCorps VISTA program focuses on improving educational programming, workforce development pathways, volunteer engagement, and family support services. VISTA members will help build sustainable systems that enhance program delivery (e.g., ensuring updated client record management processes in place using platforms such as Neworg Management System; supporting updates to data and communication workflows using Microsoft Office products), increase community partnerships, and improve data tracking and reporting. Members will contribute to developing volunteer management systems (supporting research and implementation of new online record management systems), streamlining program operations, strengthening data infrastructure, expanding workforce readiness initiatives, and improving family engagement and referral processes. Specific agency goals include: 1) mobilizing 120 new community volunteers to support OYC; 2) Developing and/or strengthening at least 10 community partnership (with schools, employers, and community partners); 3) Implementing improved systems for data tracking, reporting, volunteer management, and program coordination. Through these efforts, the program aims to increase access to educational and career opportunities, improve program efficiency and accountability, and support long-term economic mobility for youth and families.
Member Duties : AmeriCorps Vista volunteers will support OYC Miami by helping coordinate communications, scheduling, logistics, documentation, onboarding, procurement, inventory, and cross-department collaboration. They will also assist with resource development efforts that expand student enrichment and exposure opportunities, while helping to create and standardize processes, tools, templates, and training materials that improve organizational efficiency. In addition, volunteers will contribute to grant administration, donor communications, events, marketing, and partnership development, and will provide support to executive leadership through meeting coordination, agenda and materials preparation, follow-up tracking, reporting support, and process documentation that strengthens organizational capacity and long-term sustainability.
