Description
Starting wage: $23.64/hour
POSITION SUMMARY:
To operate lining, molding auxiliary equipment assigned by rotation schedule or supervisor. To properly perform order and material changes and lining machine start-ups/shut-downs. To properly perform order changes and shut-downs on molding machines. This is a Safety Sensitive Position.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Identifies issues, troubleshoot machines to produce quality parts, safely.
  • Notify mold tech, shift lead or shift supervisor in the event of molding machine irregularities.
  • Performs order changes: enters startup and shutdown into DelmiaWorks system.
  • Enters all downtime reason codes into ERP for tracking.
  • Verifies raw materials comply with work requirements.
  • Samples and visually inspects production every 30 minutes, document quality inspections hourly, and places product on hold by entering process correction (PCR).
  • Prepares for color changes; notifies mold tech, lead or supervisor when color change is needed.
  • Informs supervisor/lead of substandard production quality.
  • Checks material quality and calls for more materials if necessary.
  • Checks that all machine sensors, cap-guides and adjustable conveyors are operating properly.
  • Informs supervisor/lead of machine problems and fills out maintenance work requests (MRO).
  • Informs supervisor/lead if machines are not capable of running at standard.
  • Cleans machines and work areas of material, caps, oil, etc., clean filters, scheduled sanitation duties.
  • Fills and empties color and virgin hoppers.
  • Segregates, inspects and sorts scrap material.
  • Relieves Production Operators, Mold Techs during breaks.
  • Backup Production Operators and Mold Techs for other shifts; Covers for absences/vacations on other shifts on a volunteer basis.
  • Follows all GMP guidelines.
  • Adheres to all safety rules and procedures.
  • Completes all necessary documentation for all assigned machines. Follow manufacturing Work Order (BOM).
  • Reintroduces rejected parts after physical inspection, if parts are good.
  • Any other duties as assigned by Supervision/Management.

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Attends Green Area Meetings;
  • Responsible for following all Food Safety related policies and procedures;
  • Responsible for following all Safety Rules, policies, procedures and work instructions;
  • Sorts through and visually inspects rejected cartons;
  • Backup: Off Shift Production Operator, Mold Technician
  • Finishes appropriate Track Pro / Paulson training for position

Requirements
EDUCATION AND TRAINING:
Minimum High School diploma or equivalent;
Good verbal and written English.
EXPERIENCE:
Mechanical aptitude required.
EQUIPMENT USED:
Allen wrenches, calipers, scales, manual pallet jack, welding gloves, & face shield. Other equipment, as assigned.
