Position Title: Canvass Manager

Reporting Structure: Project Director

Rate of Pay: The salary range for this position is $54,000 to $66,000, depending on experience and skill sets

Job Classification: Full-time, exempt
Schedule: 50+ hours a week, Sundays off.

Location: onsite - Pittsburgh

Benefits: RFS offers all full-time employees who remain with our team for more than three months full health care, dental, and vision benefits. Any job-related travel, lodging, and other expenses are paid for by RFS.

Position Summary

Revolution Field Strategies is seeking highly motivated candidates for the role of Canvass Manager for a Voter Registration Program in Pittsburgh. Canvass Managers will assist in recruitment, training, and management of canvassers, who will be registering voters in Pittsburgh. Canvass Managers will work closely with the Regional Organizing Directors, Project Director and our Operations team to meet ambitious goals.

Canvass Managers will work in regional canvass offices and spend time in the field with canvassers. Canvass Managers must be true self-starters and problem-solvers, and be able to work effectively with and manage a diverse team who come from a variety of backgrounds. We will provide comprehensive job training for new hires and we strongly encourage potential applicants who have the qualified skills for the position to apply, regardless of prior campaign experience.

Cycle/Project Based Full Time Position

This position is considered a Full-Time Employee meaning they are expected to work full-time (40 or more hours per week) for a defined period of time, typically the length of the project. However, RFS expects to provide extensive opportunities for successful employees and contractors to continue on with the company throughout the 2026 election season.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist with training and management of canvassers in the field, including pre-shift briefings and post-shift debriefings.

  • Work with the Regional Organizer and Project Director to implement, adjust, and improve the training program.

  • Willing and able to work extended hours, with the expectation of 6-day, 60+ hour weeks from mid-March through May with the high likelihood of extension through September, including evenings and weekends.

  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Detail-oriented and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with a team

  • Strong desire to help register new voters

  • Must have ready access to personal transportation and will be required to provide proof of drivers insurance

PLUS QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Working knowledge of VoteBuilder, MiniVAN, or Blocks

  • Prior volunteer or paid canvasser management

COMPENSATION:

The salary range for Canvass Managers is between $54,000 and $66,000 per year depending on experience. with the role beginning immediately and ending no later than November 15, 2026.

Essential Physical Requirements

  • As this is an in-field position, the individuals must be able to stand, walk, and meet with canvassers in the field for the duration of the work day.

  • Individuals in this position must be able to communicate with colleagues and partners in person, via phone, including conference and video calls, as well as written communication such as email.

  • This position requires vision/hearing abilities.
