Job description

Tired of reading these employment ads and wondering where the RIGHT opportunity is for you? Here are the simple reasons you WANT to work at Pluckers.

We have among the best pay and benefits in the restaurant business:

  • The Video Production and Motion Graphics Video Editor position has the ability to influence the brand from both an outward perspective and internally through cross-departmental collaboration. Creativity and out-of-the-box thinking will open multiple opportunities for growth.
  • Our health insurance is among the best in the industry and we cover 100% of health, dental and vision for corporate office employees.
  • 15 paid vacation/personal days off every year, plus paid holidays!
  • Free meals at Pluckers - a $650 value each quarter!
  • An invitation to our annual parties including a first-class trip every January to places like New Orleans, Miami or Las Vegas.

Pluckers is based in Austin and has finished in the Top 25 Businesses Overall to Work for five times by the Austin Business Journal.

The mission of this role is simple: make Pluckers impossible to scroll past. Think less "corporate marketing video," more the stuff that stops thumbs mid-scroll, gets sent in a group chat, and makes people crave wings at 10am on a Tuesday. You'll turn strategy into video content that's bold, funny, a little chaotic in the best way, and unmistakably Pluckers - built to drive real brand love and real sales, not just likes.

The Videographer and Motion Graphics Video Editor is a core piece of our in-house marketing crew, turning campaigns, promos, game-day hype, and everyday brand moments into video and motion content people actually want to watch - not skip past on their way to something else. This role is heavy on video and motion design, with some graphic design mixed in, digital, social, Pluckers TV. You'll own it from "what if we..." all the way through final export. Bottom line: what you make is how Pluckers shows up online.

This role needs someone with the creative chops to build new content from scratch, but who's also not above rolling up their sleeves for quick edits and tweaks to work that already exists - big swings and small fixes both matter here.

As a member of the Marketing team, you'll work collaboratively with everyone on the team as well as other departments to make sure everything you create is platform-native and on-brand.

Above all, we're looking for someone who wants to get better every single day and actually welcomes feedback instead of dreading it. Self-motivated, easygoing, hardworking - someone who brings good energy to the team and takes the work (but not themselves) seriously.

A portfolio is required for consideration. Please include a link on your resume.

Responsibilities:

  • Captures professional multi-camera studio and field video using Sony A7iii and Canon Xa50 cameras along with other professional-grade video, audio and lighting equipment.
  • Execute all stages of video production and sees media projects through from ideation to hands-on content creation to production, including camera work, lighting, audio recording, video editing, motion graphics, and basic color correction. Ensures that all quality and brand standards and specifications are met.
  • Collaborate with Marketing team to plan, coordinate, and set schedule and production timelines, and resourcing plans to complete scheduled multimedia projects.
  • Maintain a schedule of projects, and ensure timely and accurate reporting of status, progress, and other project details as required.
  • Identify internal and external opportunities for video communication development or improvement
  • Maintain video production equipment and recommend equipment upgrades
  • Contributes to our Pluckers TV system and ensures content is fresh, current, and accurate.
  • Ensure all multimedia assets are stored and organized on the G Drive for easy access
  • Use AI and automation to set up processes for repeatable tasks

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma
  • Proficient in Adobe Premiere and After Effects
  • Competent in Adobe Photoshop and the rest of the Adobe Creative Suite.

  • Must be able to manage multiple projects at different stages, while meeting deadlines and quality standards.
  • Precise, thorough, and detail oriented

Bonus Qualifications:

  • Associates or Bachelor's Degree in Video Production, Film, Animation, Broadcasting or Communication
  • Experience working with food video content
  • Experience working with training video content

Hours & Work Environment:

  • Full-time in office. Monday - Friday normal working hours with some night and weekends required with notice.
  • This is not a remote position. Must be able to work in-office daily in Austin, TX. Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work is required.
  • Periodic travel required.

Salary: $65,000 - $80,000/yr depending on experience.
