Job Title: Packaging Data Associate

Department: Operations Packaging

Position Type: Non-Exempt / Full-time (40 weekly hours)

Reports To: Packaging Manager

Job Summary

The Packaging Data Associate plays a dual role in supporting both the digital and physical execution of cannabis product packaging. This position ensures data-driven accuracy in all packaging processesconverting units, printing compliant labels, cartonizing finished goods, and generating manifestswhile also participating in the physical processing and preparation of products. Exceptional computer skills and attention to detail are essential to maintain compliance, quality, and efficiency throughout the packaging workflow.

Key Responsibilities

Data & System-Focused Duties

Convert raw and finished product weights and quantities into standardized unit formats for packaging and compliance.

Print and verify compliant product labels using software such as BarTender or other industry-specific platforms.

Cartonize products for wholesale and internal distribution, ensuring label accuracy, count verification, and proper storage records.

Create and manage shipping manifests in Dutchie or other seed-to-sale software, ensuring alignment with product movement and compliance regulations.

Maintain organized and accurate digital records of packaging activities, inventory changes, and product movement.

Collaborate with Fulfillment, Inventory, and Compliance teams to ensure seamless integration of packaging data into larger operational systems.

Hands-On Packaging Responsibilities

Process cannabis flower product precisely and in accordance with departmental guidelines and SOPs.

Maintain high-quality processing and safety standards in a production environment with active machinery operations.

Conduct accurate and detailed recordkeeping throughout packaging stages.

Perform inventory inspections and support cycle counts to maintain system accuracy.

Clean and sanitize work tools, equipment, and workspace regularly to uphold safety and product integrity.

Label, audit, and organize product for transport and storage.

Operate production equipment according to manufacturer instructions and internal safety procedures.

Re-stock packaging supplies and materials to ensure consistent workflow.

Support production team in daily operations and assist with other duties as assigned.

Required Skills & Qualifications

High proficiency in computer systems, including Microsoft Excel, Dutchie, and label creation software such as BarTender.

Strong data entry and organizational skills with close attention to detail.

Ability to convert units of measurement quickly and accurately.

Experience with inventory control systems and manifest generation.

Team-oriented with excellent communication and coordination skills.

Ability to work efficiently and safely in a fast-paced production environment.
