Position Summary

  • Monitor, control and manage business operations to meet customer expectations and company goals
  • Review and understand scope specific project contract documents.
  • Manage project duties including researching costs, scope of work, data entry of job info, budgets, material coordination, production reports
  • Manage project schedule, ensuring timely completion of project
  • Review, approve and communicate quotes and proposals for the Creation and distribution of purchase orders/subcontracts for, products and services
  • Create and detail project plan, estimates, resource and material requirements for assigned projects
  • Manages purchase orders and logistics to ensure project materials arrive on schedule, be proactive in delivery delay avoidance.
  • Create timely, accurate and complete project reports for internal project management team and exterior stake holders.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships through regular meetings and communications.
  • Oversight of field crew and sub-contractors to ensure adherence to safety, quality and project timelines
  • Assist in root cause analysis activities when project experiences schedule delays, cost overruns, quality issues or safety events.
  • Follow standard operating procedures for efficient business operations.
  • Examine financial data/statements and use them to improve profitability.
  • Facilitate and follow up on payment applications and related documentation.
  • Create and distribute operations & maintenance (O&M) manuals to stakeholders
  • Start up, commissioning, and owner training for assigned projects.
  • Execute warranty claims during warranty period
  • Ensure compliance requirements regarding company standards, labor regulations, insurance, taxes, Lien rights, licensing
  • Work in other functional areas to cover absences/relief, to equalize peak periods or otherwise to balance team workload.
  • Participate in company level process improvement activities.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications

  • Degree in Construction Management or related field
  • 1+ years experience in Project Management
  • 3+ years experience in Construction
  • Experience in Microsoft Suite
    • Medium to strong Microsoft Excel skill set
    • Intro level capabilities in Microsoft Project
    • Intro level capabilities in Bluebeam
  • OSHA 10-hour certification
  • Basic understanding of advanced environmental systems and controls preferred
  • Basic understanding of AIA and CSI requirements
  • Basic drafting capability, computer aided or not.
  • Experience in Project Management Software, Procore preferred
  • Able to communicate (verbal and written) in a clear and conscious manner.
  • Technical writing and reading skills for both specifications and drawing sets
  • Inquisitive and self-initiating learner
  • Documentation and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
