Job description

Viridian Staffing's Client is looking for an experienced Cannabis Lead Grower for a cultivation operation in the Eastern Maine area.

Founded in 2013, Viridian Staffing (www.viridianstaffing.com) is the original, professional staffing, recruiting, and HR consulting firm solely dedicated to organizations in and supporting the commercial, medical, and industrial cannabis / hemp industry.

As the Lead Grower, you will have the opportunity to oversee day-to-day cultivation activities and help drive consistent, high-quality crop production. You will be responsible for managing plants throughout the cultivation lifecycle, monitoring plant health, identifying and resolving cultivation issues, and ensuring established procedures are followed. You'll also get the opportunity to evaluate current cultivation practices and make recommendations for improvements as the operation continues to grow. This is a hands-on role, so you need to be willing/able to handle the entire cultivation process.

You'll bring with you several years of successful commercial cannabis cultivation experience and the ability to independently manage a crop from propagation through harvest. Ideally, you have experience working with hydroponic, aeroponic, or other soilless cultivation methods and have a strong understanding of plant health, irrigation, nutrients, environmental controls, and integrated pest management. You are comfortable developing and improving SOPs and have enough mechanical aptitude to troubleshoot basic cultivation equipment. Most importantly, you are a strong problem solver who takes pride in producing healthy, consistent crops. You must also be eligible to obtain any credentials required to work in a licensed cannabis cultivation facility in the State of Maine.
