As a Personal Care Specialist, you'll be the friendly face who guides patients and customers through their dispensary experience-from the moment they walk in to the moment they check out. Think of the role as part educator, part retail specialist, and part concierge.
Responsibilities
  • Educate them on cannabis products, consumption methods, and safe use.
  • Recommend personalized product options based on their needs.
  • Stay knowledgeable about new products and industry trends.
  • Help maintain a clean, compliant, and well-stocked retail environment.
  • Assist with inventory, order accuracy, and general store upkeep.
  • Provide the management team with the necessary support to ensure retail store operations run smoothly and comply with applicable rules and regulations, including daily activities, maintenance, and handling of patient information for any reported issues or complaints.
  • Ensure local and state cannabis regulations are properly enforced and upheld.
  • Follow all safety, security, and state cannabis regulations.
  • Support store operations across multiple stations (front-of-house, back-of-house, curbside, etc.).
  • Management reserves the right to modify, add, or remove job duties at any time, with or without prior notice, in accordance with business needs. Employees may also be required to perform additional job-related tasks not specifically outlined in this job description, including special projects or assignments requested by their direct manager.

  • Must be 21+, pass required background checks, and meet state cannabis employment rules.
  • Must pass all required background checks, including state-specific cannabis employment requirements.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all employees.
  • Previous experience with POS systems.
  • Employees must be able to follow instructions and incorporate constructive criticism from managers.
  • Operate with a high level of professionalism and integrity, including dealing with confidential information and complying with HIPAA requirements.

  • Must be willing and able to occasionally work a flexible schedule as the business needs demand, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events.
Working Conditions / Physical Demands
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and repeatedly carry 15-20 pounds across the warehouse or greenhouse.
  • Frequent and repetitive use of hands for tasks including pruning, transplanting, and equipment handling.
  • The employee must be able to sit or stand for long durations and perform essential physical functions, including kneeling, stooping, bending, and twisting within confined or restricted spaces.
  • The employee must be able to work in hot, humid environments and tolerate exposure to workplace elements such as dust, allergens, and water.
