About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Chief Operating Officer (COO) to join our executive team. The COO will play a pivotal role in driving operational excellence, business growth, and organizational success.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute operational strategies to optimize business performance, achieve growth targets, and enhance profitability.
  • Lead and oversee various departments, including but not limited to operations, supply chain, quality assurance, and logistics.
  • Collaborate with the CEO and other executives to align operational strategies with overall business objectives.
  • Manage large capital projects, plant ramp-ups, and automation initiatives.
  • Assist with architecting additional factory space or potential facility relocation from our Irwindale location.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to streamline processes, reduce costs, and improve efficiency across the organization.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations, quality standards, and best practices.
  • Manage key relationships with partners, suppliers, and stakeholders to support business operations and expansion.
  • Lead organizational change initiatives, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and performance excellence.
  • Analyze market trends, competitive landscape, and industry developments to identify opportunities and mitigate risks.
  • Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and performance metrics to track progress and drive decision-making.
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and development opportunities for the operations team.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field; MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive leadership experience in operations, preferably in the nutraceutical, pharmaceutical, or related industries.
  • Proven track record of driving operational excellence, implementing strategic initiatives, and achieving business results.
  • Strong understanding of business operations, supply chain management, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Compensation: $215,000 - $230,000 + bonus & equity

While this role is based at our Irwindale, CA facility and requires regular on-site presence, we are open to candidates willing to relocate.
