Job description

Our Pig Candy BBQ location on Kellogg Ave is looking for an Experienced Restaurant Manager. Must be extremely personable and the ability to run a successful shift, manage a small staff, and support the General Manager and Ownership as needed. Pig Candy BBQ is an independent fast casual BBQ Restaurant (#1 in Cincinnati 2026!) with a focus on Interesting Scratch-Made Health-Conscious BBQ, and Next Level Service. We are a Counter Service Restaurant with a small cozy indoor seating area, a heated covered deck seating area, and a heavy focus on Catering and Carryout. Starting pay is salaried $1000 per week plus monthly Bonus, a 45 hour work week, and free meals. Position is promotable.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the General Manager in overseeing daily operations and ensuring compliance with company policies.
  • Lead and motivate a small team of employees, fostering a positive work environment.
  • Conduct interviews and participate in the hiring process to build a strong team.
  • Manage inventory levels, ensuring stock is maintained and organized efficiently.
  • Daily Cash Handling and Reporting
  • Provide exceptional customer service, addressing any inquiries or concerns promptly.
  • Collaborate with team members to implement promotional strategies that enhance sales.
  • Assist Ownership as directed
  • Assist Owner in managing inventory, maintenance and other operational functions as directed by Ownership
  • Assist in developing strategies for better workplace efficiency and goal achievement
  • Reinforces a quality and accuracy mentality and ensures all employees are focused on serving the 100% spec at all times

Experience

  • Previous experience in a Restaurant environment with leadership responsibilities.
  • Demonstrated skills in team management and leadership.
  • Experience with inventory management systems is an asset.
  • Proficiency in administrative tasks related to restaurant operations.
  • A Customer first approach id Key to this role.
  • Ability to follow directions and work with autonomy once given directions; ability to multi-task and successfully solve problems
  • ServSafe Manager Certified (or willing to achieve within 90 days.)
  • Ability to work irregular hours, nights, weekends and holidays (We have awesome restaurant hours - close by 8:30pm daily including weekends.))
