Job description

The primary function of the clinician is to provide evidence-based clinical massage therapy services in Cancer Patient Support Center. The incumbent will work collaboratively with our team of physicians, advanced practice providers, a and other therapists. Responsible for ensuring that all clinic regulations are followed for treatment protocol as well as privacy. Follow all the guidelines and regulations of Miami Cancer Institute. The massage therapist will ensure that all billing procedures and appropriate codes are applied for any services offered in the clinic setting. This position will also be responsible for developing and expanding the massage therapy practice within Miami Cancer Institute. This will include rounding in the treatment areas and presentations to colleagues and departments within the Institute as well as to the public. This position will complete appropriate training as available and required.Estimated pay range for this position is $25.37 - $32.98 / hour depending on experience.Degrees:
  • High School,Cert,GED,Trn,Exper.
Licenses & Certifications:
  • CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) Certification.
  • Licensed Massage Therapist.
Additional Qualifications:
  • Licensed Massage Therapist in the State of Florida with training and certifications specific to oncology patients.
  • Oncology certifications will be reviewed and approved by leader.
  • 3 years of clinical massage therapy experience within an oncology setting required, 5 years of clinical setting experience is preferred.
  • Must possess current and unrestricted Florida license as a massage therapist or equivalent.
  • Completed specialized training for massage therapy and patients with cancer preferred.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills are required.
  • Must be able to multitask in fast paced office environment and be able to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Must be able to maintain a high standard of professionalism and customer service.
Minimum Required Experience: 3 Years
