Baptist MD Anderson Cancer Center located in Northeast Florida is actively seeking a Medical Oncologist to join our distinguished Cancer Medicine faculty. This position will specifically support the growth of our multidisciplinary Melanoma/Sarcoma Oncology Program.

Baptist MD Anderson brings an unprecedented level of oncology care to Northeast Florida and provides an appealing blend of community-based patient centered care with added benefit of an academic-oriented model. Baptist Health is proud to be the region's most preferred healthcare provider, one of only seven unique health systems in the United States chosen to replicate MD Anderson Cancer Center's multidisciplinary and proven model of care, and the Southeast patient care hub for MD Anderson Cancer Network, a program of MD Anderson.

The successful candidate will

  • Demonstrate a commitment to our multidisciplinary integrated model of cancer care including participation in quality management and research programs.

  • Fully support the clinical, scholarly, and research missions of our program including developing standard protocols for patient care, improving quality metrics and scholarly/research activities.

  • Demonstrate a successful record in the field of melanoma and/or sarcoma oncology. Graduating fellows may be considered based on demonstrated commitment and scholarly record.

  • Additional leadership opportunities within the Cancer Medicine division, including our quality or research programs, may be considered.

  • Join a team of 20 full-time medical oncologists and our Melanoma/Sarcoma multidisciplinary program. The program includes a team of 4 surgical oncologists, Ortho-oncology surgeon, and a dedicated team of radiation oncologists.

  • Be recommended for an adjunct academic appointment at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center (Houston) commensurate with experience and academic accomplishment.

Baptist Health partnered with MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston to create the Baptist Health MD Anderson Cancer Center in Jacksonville. MD Anderson is the largest freestanding cancer center in the world, ranked as one of the top two hospitals in cancer care by U.S. News and World Report.

Baptist Health of Northeast Florida provides state-of-the art care for all types of cancer and is a regional leader in prevention, diagnosis, treatment, research and education. Baptist MD Anderson resides ata 330,000 square foot patient-centered, state-of-the-art facility dedicated solely to the full spectrum of oncology care.

As one of seven health systems in the nation and the only one in Southwest US to partner with MD Anderson Cancer Center, Baptist Health is replicating the MD Anderson model of care, with full clinical and operational integration.
