Job description

The Department of Diagnostic, Molecular and Interventional Radiology at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai is seeking a fellowship-trained thoracic or cardiothoracic radiologist. This academic position focuses on lung cancer screening within the International Early Lung Cancer Action Program (I-ELCAP), a leading multicenter program. The successful candidate will primarily interpret low-dose CT examinations and manage pulmonary nodules, with substantial opportunities for research and teaching.

Compensation

  • Compensation range from $480,000 to $545,000 (not including bonuses / incentive compensation or benefits)
  • The salary range listed is for full-time employment and does not include bonuses / incentive compensation or benefits

Shift & Schedule

  • Position is anticipated initially to be approximately 50% effort
  • May be performed predominantly remotely, with appropriate participation in on-site academic, educational, and program activities

Requirements

  • Completed an ACGME-accredited Diagnostic Radiology residency
  • Completed fellowship training in thoracic or cardiothoracic imaging
  • Board-certified or board-eligible by the American Board of Radiology
  • Eligible for medical licensure in New York State
  • Substantial prior experience in lung cancer screening and longitudinal pulmonary nodule assessment is strongly preferred
  • Experience with quantitative CT imaging, screening program operations, quality assurance, or related clinical research is desirable
