Job Summary:

This position requires a qualified person to move equipment throughout the facility, do inspections of equipment, report defects to dispatch or supervisor for repairs, and operate equipment in a dirty, wet noisy environment in all weather conditions.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Operate yard trucks in a safe manner during roll-on/roll-off procedures involving both loaded and empty containers.
  • Transfer trailers from one truck to another and position them appropriately within the yard.
  • Complete necessary paperwork involving trailer numbers, gross weights, tare weights, net weights, and type of material.
  • Assist in loading and unloading tasks when needed.
  • Back trailers into designated areas for efficient loading and unloading.
  • Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively to ensure smooth operations.
  • Adhere to safety standards and company policies at all times.
  • Maintain the yard truck, ensuring it is in good operating condition.
  • This is a part- time position 20 - 25 hours a week
