ABB Motion is seeking a highly experienced Sales Director - PV & BESS (Photovoltaics & Battery Energy Storage Systems) Inverter Business to lead and expand our solar and energy storage inverter business across the North American market. This role is responsible for driving growth, shaping gotomarket strategy, and building strong customer partnerships for ABB's Motion and electrification solutions supporting renewable generation, grid stabilization, and energy transition initiatives.

The Sales Director will work closely with regional leadership, global product management and engineering teams to deliver sustainable, profitable growth while positioning ABB as a trusted technology partner in the rapidly evolving utility scale PV and BESS ecosystem.

The work model for the role is: #LI-Remote with a strong preference for Western United States; close proximity to airport is required. The travel expectation is around 40% - 50%, mainly in the US with some international travel.

Your Role and Responsibilities:

  • Independently lead salesand businessdevelopmentactivitiesfor Inverter product line with assignedSolarand BESS(Utility,EPCandIPP)customeraccounts
  • Developscustomer contactsbuildsandmaintainsa sound customer focused networkatall relevant hierarchical levels.
  • Generatesvalue-orientedoffersand respond to customer Request for proposals (RFP)in a timely manner
  • Work with assigned contract management team to close contractsin a timely mannerand win business
  • Assistthe product management teams to define and improve the product portfolio for use in theNorth Americanmarket by regularly gathering feedback from customers, business partners and by closelymonitoringindustry trends.
  • Provide inputregardingmarketing and product positioning strategies specific to the US and Canadian markets.

Qualifications for the Role:

  • 5to10 or moreyears' experienceinselling Inverters/PCS for utility scale Solar and BESS customers in North America
    • Previousexperience in the PVand BESSindustryandIndustry relationships will be a significant advantage
  • Bachelor'sDegree in Engineering (Electrical Engineeringpreferred)
  • Proven and verifiable experience successfully growing market share.
  • ProficiencyinMSOffice [Word, Excel, PowerPoint]
  • Excellent verbal and written skills in English
  • Adaptable,ProactiveandgoodTime Managementskills
  • Travel as needed to support account management activities
