Welcome to The HOUSEpitality Family! We are the restaurant group who owns and operates all Boathouse, Casa del Barco, Island Shrimp Co., and Can Can Brasserie locations in and around Richmond, VA.
Our Guests come to us to Celebrate Life one bit at a time with great views, unique character, and delicious food! We are looking for passionate professionals that want to provide exceptional service while having fun and making money. Flexible in-store training. PTO accrual starts on day one!
The Server will provide high-quality service that will help maintain and attract customers. The Server will have a positive attitude and the ability to work well under pressure with all other staff. Main responsibilities will be providing great service to our external guests.
Position Expectations:
AM Server hours are 9:30 AM to 5 PM (at the latest); this role requires availability during this time. We promote from within to move to the PM shift.
  • Exceptional communication skills; engaging with internal and external guests
  • Working on a 'Toast Goes' handheld to take and input orders
  • Knowledge of the menu and an ability to make recommendations and upsell
  • Ensure guests are enjoying the service and the ability to take action to correct any problems as needed
  • Collect and process payments
  • Collaborate with other restaurant servers and kitchen/bar staff
  • Work through complaints or problems with a positive attitude
  • Proper attention to cleanliness and safety
  • Additional duties as assigned
