Purpose of the role

To design, develop and improve software, utilising various engineering methodologies, that provides business, platform, and technology capabilities for our customers and colleagues.

Accountabilities

  • Development and delivery of high-quality software solutions by using industry aligned programming languages, frameworks, and tools. Ensuring that code is scalable, maintainable, and optimized for performance.
  • Cross-functional collaboration with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define software requirements, devise solution strategies, and ensure seamless integration and alignment with business objectives.
  • Collaboration with peers, participate in code reviews, and promote a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing.
  • Stay informed of industry technology trends and innovations and actively contribute to the organization's technology communities to foster a culture of technical excellence and growth.
  • Adherence to secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities, protect sensitive data, and ensure secure software solutions.
  • Implementation of effective unit testing practices to ensure proper code design, readability, and reliability.

In this role, you'll contribute to the Integrated Financial Crime Program, supporting the delivery of workflow-driven solutions that help meet regulatory needs and improve client onboarding processes. You'll work closely with technology and business teams to design and support platforms that improve efficiency and consistency across onboarding journeys.

To be successful as a Camunda SME - AVP, you should have experience with:

  • Using Camunda BPM for workflow orchestration and process automation, including BPMN 2.0

  • Developing applications using Java and supporting frameworks (Java 8 or higher)

  • Building RESTful APIs and microservices with Spring Boot

  • Working within Agile development practices

  • Using development and delivery tools such as GitLab, Maven, JUnit, and JIRA

Some other highly valued skills may include:

  • Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment

  • Understanding of Financial Crime or Wholesale Banking processes

  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and container platforms such as Docker or Kubernetes

  • Knowledge of testing frameworks such as JUnit, Mockito, or similar

You may be assessed on the key critical skills relevant for success in this role, such as risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen, strategic thinking, digital and technology, as well as job-specific technical skills.

This role is located in Whippany, New Jersey.

Minimum Salary: $120,000

Maximum Salary: $175,000

The minimum and maximum salary/rate information above includes only base salary or base hourly rate. It does not include any other type of compensation or benefits that may be available.
