2026 Campaigns Director
As a critical member of our team, the Campaigns Director is responsible for developing and executing effective political campaigns, by leveraging grassroots organizing efforts, volunteer capacity, and standing up an in-house paid canvassing program to advance Rural Arizona Action?s political objectives. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing successful political campaigns, a deep understanding of community organizing principles, and the ability to lead and inspire a team of organizers and volunteers.
Responsibilities
Political campaign strategy
Develop comprehensive and data-driven political campaign strategies to achieve electoral goals.
Collaborate with leadership to align campaign efforts with the organization's overall political objectives.
Conduct thorough research and analysis of political landscapes to identify opportunities and potential challenges.
Mobilization and Management
Work with our Organizing Director to lead our diverse network of volunteers and activists into a robust grassroots volunteer program.
Implement effective field campaigns, events, and actions to engage and mobilize supporters.
Employ integrated tactics (VR, Relational) to expand the organization's base and drive voter outreach.
Foster a culture of teamwork, collaboration, and accountability within the Campaigns department, comprising data, field, volunteer, and training managers.
Provide ongoing coaching and professional development opportunities to enhance the leadership skills.
Coalition building and partnerships
Identify and establish strategic partnerships with community groups, political organizations, and key stakeholders to build strong coalitions.
Collaborate with partners to leverage resources, share best practices, and enhance collective campaigning efforts.
Data-driven decision making
Utilize data analytics and organizing tools to track and measure the impact of campaign activities.
Analyze data to make informed decisions, optimize strategies, and adjust tactics for maximum effectiveness.
Qualifications
Must Haves:
Proven experience (ideally 5+ years) in political campaign management, community organizing, or related fields, with a successful track record.
Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience managing and motivating a team of organizers and volunteers.
Thorough understanding of political campaign strategies, tactics, and electoral processes.
Familiarity with data-driven organizing tools and technologies for effective voter outreach and engagement.
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills to build relationships with stakeholders, donors, and the public.
Strong political acumen and knowledge of current political issues and trends.
Passionate about political advocacy, social justice, and making a positive impact on the community and society.

Salary: $105,000 - $115,000
