TURN Community Services in Midvale, UT is looking to hire full and part-time Day Program Direct Support Professionals - Caregivers to assist individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A DAY PROGRAM DIRECT SUPPORT PROFESSIONAL - CAREGIVER

As a Day Program Direct Support Professional - Caregiver, you support people with developmental disabilities to live their best lives as independently as possible. Your support is needed in many areas of daily living including self-care, hygiene, motor skills, arts and crafts, vocational skills, work habits, and community inclusion. Additionally, you assist with behavior management and recreational activities.

Using effective teaching and mentoring techniques, you provide support for our clients with their day-to-day schedules. You are always careful to model appropriate social skills and behaviors. Conscientiously, you keep accurate and up-to-date documentation as well as promptly report any concerns about health or safety. You find it very rewarding to help these wonderful individuals, which is why you're perfect for this caregiving position with our human services organization!


QUALIFICATIONS FOR A DAY PROGRAM DIRECT SUPPORT PROFESSIONAL - CAREGIVER

  • 18+ years of age
  • Licensed Driver and Clean Driving Record
  • Must be able to drive large vehicle to transport individuals with community engagement and to/from home.
  • A heart for serving people with developmental disabilities
