Job description

Job Summary
Responsible for maintaining constant surveillance of the camp entrances/exits/hallways
Position Summary
¿ Monitor entrances of Before/After-School Programs
¿ Responsible for ensuring parents 'sign-in¿ and 'sign-out¿ their children daily
¿ Prevent individuals from entering the building without approval
¿ Prevent children from leaving the building without permission
¿ Assist parents/guardians in picking up children
¿ Communicate effectively with parents, supervisors, students, and school leadership
¿ Other duties as assigned
Supervision Required
Reports to Camp Administration
Job Requirements
¿ High school diploma or GED
¿ 2+ years of experience in a security position preferred
¿ Crisis, Prevention, and Intervention training preferred
¿ Enjoy working with children
Required training within five days of hire:
¿ Review the camp's Emergency Action Plan and the school's Emergency Codes and Procedures
¿ Abusive Head Trauma certificate
¿ Child Maltreatment Video on MPS LMS (renewed every two years)
¿ DPI Medication Training (demonstrates skills every year and renewed every four years)
¿ A Registry membership linked to the assigned Camp Profile
Required trainings within 90 days / three months of hire:
¿ Current pediatric CPR/AED certification by approved provider (renewed every two years)

¿ Ability to problem-solve
¿ Ability to communicate effectively with parents, staff, and children (ages 3-14 years)
¿ Possess qualities of patience, flexibility, understanding, acceptance, and care
