General Summary:
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
  • Apply deep expertise in Camera and Imaging Engineering to research and develop industry-leading Image Signal Processing (ISP) solutions.
  • Design, develop, implement, and verify highly complex ISP systems, including both hardware and software tasks related to image and video analytics.
  • Demonstrate strong familiarity with image processing and computer vision algorithms, along with solid knowledge of machine learning (ML) and artificial intelligence (AI) in the imaging domain.
  • Serve as a technical expert in architecture, algorithm, and feature decomposition, driving hardware requirements and specifications. Ensure advanced KPIs, system performance, area, and power metrics are met. Lead root cause analysis and resolution of complex technical issues.
  • Act as a technical lead, fostering collaboration across teams and with customers to analyze product requirements for new architecture or modifications to existing designs. Address all addressable markets including Mobile, XR/AR, Automotive, IoT, and Compute.
  • Possess strong programming skills in C/C++ and Python. Experience in one or more of the following is a plus: Android, ADAS, RTL design and verification, hardware modeling, embedded firmware, RTOS, ARM architecture. Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new tools and technologies.

Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field and 4+ years of Software Engineering, Hardware Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related work experience.
OR
Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field and 3+ years of Software Engineering, Hardware Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related work experience.
OR
PhD in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field and 2+ years of Software Engineering, Hardware Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related work experience.

Pay range and Other Compensation & Benefits:
$99,400.00 - $149,200.00
The above pay scale reflects the broad, minimum to maximum, pay scale for this job code for the location for which it has been posted. Even more importantly, please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Qualcomm. We also offer a competitive annual discretionary bonus program and opportunity for annual RSU grants (employees on sales-incentive plans are not eligible for our annual bonus).
