TelData System Inc. is seeking skilled wiremen with extensive experience in structured cabling systems for commercial buildings.

Position Overview

We're looking for a dedicated Voice and Data Wiremen to join our team and contribute to high-quality commercial cabling installations and maintenance projects.

Required Experience & Qualifications

Essential Requirements

  • 3-5 years minimum experience installing, terminating, and testing category cabling and structured cable systems
  • Pathway expertise: Extensive understanding of pathways and spaces, including installation of ceiling wires, J-hooks, D-rings, and creative pathway solutions
  • Field documentation: Strong background in labeling, testing, and field-level documentation
  • Blueprint proficiency: Must understand blueprints, interpret technical drawings, and comprehend legends and specifications
  • Technical knowledge: Understanding of color codes, wiring diagrams, and cable specifications
  • Equipment installation: Experience with equipment rack installation, cable dressing, patch panels, station jacks, and communication room build-outs (IDF and MDF)
  • Lift operation: Experience operating boom lifts, scissor lifts, and similar equipment
  • Testing equipment: Proficiency with testing equipment (Fluke DSX experience preferred)
  • Installation tools: Experience with battery and powder-actuated tools (ram sets) for anchoring and hanging systems
  • Clean driving record: Valid driver's license with clean driving record required.

Professional Skills

  • Communication: Strong communication skills with field teams and TDS office personnel
  • Documentation: Capable of completing paperwork and daily time reporting
  • Project management: Experience running jobs from start to finish

TelData Systems was founded in 1983. Dennis was the lead wireman for the rewire of all municipalities for the City of Seattle and decided to go out and start his own business. With $1,000 that he borrowed, a pickup truck and his entrepreneurial spirit, he started TelData Systems, as a Design and Structured Cabling company. Over the years, TDS has installed some of the first fiber on the I-5, I-90 and 405 corridors. Being forward thinking in the 90s, we invested in the understanding of the IP telephony phone systems, knowing that IP was the future of communications.

In 2001, TelData started its Security Division. Our strong understanding of the IP world makes us well suited for today’s security needs. In 2004, TelData provided and installed Cat5E for our customers’ CCTV systems. Our goal is always been, “Solutions Today, Technology for Tomorrow”. This goal helps us future proof our customers.

Today we still support a lot of our original customers, many of them being large companies in the Pacific Northwest and in the Western US.
