At Premium Parts Wholesale (PPW), we're on a mission to become the automotive industry's go-to resource for everything related to car repair: auto parts, tools, learning videos. We help DIYers and professional technicians install parts with confidence through clear, high-quality video content.
 
We're investing to build a brand-new production studio designed specifically for car repair marketing content, complete with professional cameras, lighting, lifts, and everything needed to produce thousands of installation videos across nearly every vehicle platform.
 
If you enjoy turning wrenches but are ready for something different than the day-to-day repair shop, then the Automotive Installation Technician (On Camera) could be the perfect opportunity.
 
What You'll Do
Spend your days working on cool cars instead of customer tickets. 
 
As the Automotive Installation Technician (On Camera), you'll install parts on a wide variety of domestic, Asian, and European vehicles while working alongside our production team to create professional installation videos that help drivers around the world confidently repair their vehicles.
 
You'll be the hands-on expert in the studio, performing installs, explaining repair procedures, troubleshooting unexpected issues, and ensuring every installation is done the right way.
 
No customer tickets. No flat-rate pressure. Just quality automotive work, great equipment, and an awesome production team creating content that helps DIYers around the world.
 
Requirements
  • 3+ years of professional automotive repair experience 
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record 
  • Current ASE Certification required
  • Strong mechanical knowledge across domestic, Asian, and European vehicles 
  • Experience with brakes, suspension, steering, cooling, engine, drivetrain, electrical, and HVAC systems 
  • Ability to diagnose problems and adapt during repairs 
  • Comfortable working with a collaborative production team 
  • Strong communication skills 
  • Attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship 
  • Previous on-camera experience is a huge plus
Responsibilities
  • Installing A-Premium parts on a variety of vehicles for video production 
  • Working side-by-side with our video team to create clear installation content 
  • Demonstrating proper installation techniques and best practices 
  • Troubleshooting challenges that come up during installs 
  • Helping ensure every repair meets manufacturer standards 
  • Preparing vehicles before filming and inspecting completed work 
  • Keeping the studio, lifts, and tools organized and camera-ready 
  • Assisting with sourcing vehicles for upcoming productions when needed 
  • Helping us continually improve the quality and efficiency of our productions
  • Perform other duties as assigned
