Body Shop Community Leader & Industry Educator - Remote 100% Remote | Full-Time | Become a Recognized Voice in the Body Shop Industry ***Important Before Applying*** This role requires real-life, hands-on auto body shop or collision repair knowledge. You need to be able to talk shop (specifically shop owners, managers, estimators) based on your own experience working in or running auto body shops. We are looking for someone who has been a body shop owner, manager, estimator, production leader, or someone with high-level experience in the collision repair industry. If you consider yourself a body shop expert, have 15+ years of experience, and are an outgoing person who can command a room, we want to hear from you. This is not a quiet behind-the-scenes role. You must be comfortable speaking on camera, teaching, leading conversations, and becoming a visible person in the body shop industry. Applicants will be screened carefully. A video submission is required so we can evaluate your industry knowledge, communication skills, confidence, personality, and presence. All applicants must reside in the USA. About the Role We are body shop owners ourselves, and we are building a community designed to help other body shop owners, managers, estimators and advisors, to improve the way they operate their shop. This is a 100% remote, full-time position with set working hours and requires results and engagement that will be monitored based on some metrics like the webinars performed, community engagement and other factors. The person in this role will become the main face and voice of the community. You will host webinars, lead discussions, answer questions, educate shops, and help body shop owners improve the way they run their businesses. This is more than a normal remote job. This is an opportunity to become a recognized and respected voice in the body shop industry. The right person will become someone shop owners listen to, respect, and look forward to hearing from. We want someone who wants to be looked up to in the industry and become a rockstar in the body shop world. The Opportunity This role is for someone who wants a platform. You may already be the person people come to for advice, or you may have the knowledge, personality, and drive but have never had the right platform to become known. Our goal is to help body shop owners while also helping the right person build a recognizable name in the collision repair industry. Your responsibilities will include: Hosting weekly webinars, trainings, and live discussions Speaking confidently to body shop owners, managers, and estimators Creating valuable topics that body shops actually care about Answering questions from community members Leading conversations and keeping the community engaged Helping shops think through real-world problems Providing feedback on shop operations, estimating, follow-up, lead management, customer communication, and technology Using online tools, webinar platforms, spreadsheets, and productivity systems to help plan content, organize ideas, track topics, and support the community Working with our internal team to create educational content and community resources Staying informed on industry trends, modern technology, and better ways shops can operate Representing the community in a professional, confident, and respected way Topics You May Cover Webinars and community discussions may include topics such as: Lead management and how to get more customer drop-offs in your body shop Estimating tips, tricks, and best practices Customer communication Insurance communication Sales follow-up CRM usage Software that can help improve the operations or profitability of a body shop Systems that help shops track, bill, or recover more for materials Tools that help improve production tracking and shop visibility Customer communication tools, review systems, and follow-up processes AI, automation, and modern technology SOPs, processes, and overall shop efficiency Production bottlenecks and how to overcome them Team accountability Improving close rates and larger tickets Creating a better customer experience What We Are Looking For We are looking for someone with real presence. This video does not need to be professionally edited. A simple phone, webcam, or Loom-style recording is completely fine. You do not need to create a slideshow or formal presentation. You can speak naturally and go off the top of your head. The purpose of this video is to help us evaluate your real body shop knowledge, your ability to think like an industry educator, your communication skills, your confidence on camera, and whether body shop owners, managers, and estimators would actually want to listen to you. Please do not spend the entire video talking about your resume. We want a short introduction, but the main focus should be your webinar ideas and your ability to present valuable information to body shop professionals. Part 1: Brief Introduction Start with a short introduction. This section should be approximately 30–45 seconds. Please include: Your name Where you are located Your background in the body shop or collision repair industry Your years of experience The main roles you have held, such as owner, manager, estimator, production leader, advisor, or another high-level shop role Keep this section short. We mainly want to understand who you are and why you have the experience to speak to body shop owners, managers, and estimators. Part 2: Create 3 Webinar Ideas Come up with 3 webinar topics that you believe body shop owners, managers, and estimators would genuinely want to attend. These should be topics that could realistically be used for weekly webinars inside a body shop community. For each webinar idea, please include: The title of the webinar Who the webinar is mainly for, such as owners, managers, estimators, or all three What would be discussed during the webinar What problem this webinar would help solve Why you chose this topic Why this topic is important for body shop owners, managers, or estimators to learn What someone should walk away understanding after attending We do not want generic topics with no real value. We want to see that you understand the real problems body shops deal with and what shop owners, managers, and estimators actually care about. Your topics may involve things like: Getting more customer drop-offs Improving lead follow-up Increasing close rates Estimating best practices Increasing repair order size Improving customer communication Handling insurance communication better Improving shop profitability Using software or systems to improve operations Tracking materials, billing properly, and increasing material recovery Improving production tracking and shop visibility Reducing production bottlenecks Improving team accountability Building better SOPs and processes Using AI, automation, or modern technology in a body shop Improving the customer experience Getting more reviews and repeat customers You may use one of these examples or come up with your own topics. We are especially interested in hearing what tools, systems, processes, or modern ideas you personally believe body shops should be paying attention to. We want to hear your thought process and see what you know without us handing you every answer. Part 3: Explain Why You Chose Those Topics After presenting your 3 webinar ideas, explain why you selected them. We want to understand how you think. Please explain: Why these topics matter right now Why body shop owners, managers, or estimators would care about them How these topics could improve a shop’s profitability, efficiency, communication, organization, or customer experience What common problems you have seen in body shops that connect to these topics Why you believe these topics would create meaningful conversations inside a body shop community This section helps us see whether you can think beyond surface-level advice and create content that body shop professionals would actually find valuable. Part 4: Present One Webinar Topic After sharing your 3 webinar ideas, choose one of those topics and give us a short presentation. Your presentation should be approximately 5 minutes long. Present it as if you were speaking to a group of body shop owners, managers, and estimators who joined a live webinar to learn from you. Do not just explain what the topic is. Actually teach it. Your presentation should cover: Why the topic matters What problem it solves for body shops Common mistakes shops make related to this topic What you recommend shops do differently Practical examples from your own experience How this topic can help a shop become more efficient, profitable, organized, or successful What action steps a shop owner, manager, or estimator should take after hearing your presentation We want to see how you explain an idea, how you hold attention, and whether you can make the information valuable for someone running or managing a body shop. What We Are Evaluating We are not looking for a perfect video or a scripted performance. We are looking for: Real body shop knowledge Strong communication skills Confidence on camera Ability to teach clearly Ability to command attention Personality and presence Practical ideas that body shop owners, managers, and estimators would care about Ability to create useful webinar topics Ability to explain why those topics matter Ability to turn real shop experience into education Awareness of modern tools, systems, software, and processes that can help body shops improve Whether you can become a trusted voice in the body shop industry The right person should make a body shop owner feel like, “This person understands my world, and I would listen to them again.” Important Note This video is required.
