Summary/Objective

The Production Operator is responsible for operating and monitoring packaging equipment in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. This role ensures that products are packaged according to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), regulatory standards, and company procedures, while maintaining high levels of safety, quality, and efficiency.This position is in Washing & Coating: Operates washer, washing lift, container washer, oven, oven lift, coater, and auxiliary machines to support the washing and coating process including in process checks in accordance with SOP's and WI's to produce rubber stoppers in accordance to productivity standards. This is a 2nd Shift poistion, Monday to Friday, 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.

Essential Functions

Works under the guidance of Supervisor or Crew Leader to perform and complete the assigned duties in timely manner.
Ensures that equipment are maintained in good and safe working condition and work area is clean, safe and organized.
Monitors equipment performance and recommends improvements.
Duly follows organizational and work specific instructions, attends applicable trainings and meetings.
Fulfils tasks efficiently and in due course. Meets productivity standards (where defined). Can organize and perform work effectively.
Abides by safety regulations at all times. Promotes safety standards at work place and in the team. Identifies potential safety risks and reports them actively to line manager.
Demonstrates initiative to exceed a common performance. Flexibly adopts changes in tasks, work place, or team. Works reliably, keeps agreements. Assumes responsibility for tasks entrusted.
Is open, respectful, and helpful. Constructively contributes with own skills to problem solving in team. Shares and accepts information and knowledge.
Participates in department or quality team meetings. Suggests improvements and works alone or with others to implement improvements, as assigned.
Trains new operators and/or trainees as requested.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One month, in plant training - TQM, SPC, GMO, SOP's, in conjunction with;
  • Six months on the job training
  • Ability to speak, read and write English in order to understand operating and other related procedures and to complete all position related documentation.
  • Ability to perform basic arithmetic skills.
  • Performs basic computer skills
