About the RolePerform on-site or in-house repair of imaging products including Mirrorless cameras, Digital SLR Cameras, Lens, Flash, Binoculars, Powershots, EF and RF lens, Speedlite Flash,Your Impact Perform in-house servicing, repair of company products. Perform general maintenance tasks, troubleshoot, repair DSLR Camera, Lens, and Flash system Provide technical support to customers on operational or maintenance aspects of system equipment Diagnose mechanical, hardware, software and systems failures, using established procedures Prepare reports for analyses of product failure trends and service ability issues Work on assignments that are routine in nature, but attention to detail is essential. Also, requires judgement based on established procedures and guidelines Service and repair designated equipment to Canon standards and specifications to provide efficient and responsive service to customers Generate service revenue by repairing designated equipment Maintains all technical information and Canon property assigned Prepare reports and other data for the department to ensure accurate information and record-keeping Communicate with supervisor, and other departments if necessary, regarding the solution of technical and/or customer service related problem areas Perform high demand repair volume to support departmental goal of Turn Around Time Conduct product rework/modifications/ New product inspection About You: The Skills & Expertise You Bring HS diploma, GED, or equivalent experience required, plus less than one year of related experience. Ability to demonstrate fundamental knowledge of electromechanical equipment Must be able to lift min. 15lbs in camera/lens/case weight Basic level of MS excel, Word, Powerpoint Minimum of six months repair experience of camera or optical products or min. of two years of repair experience in the Electronic Field. Ability to demonstrate mechanical aptitude and use of electrical meter and hand tools to perform repairs Minimum six months inspecting, testing, grading, repairing or refurbishing experience of electro-mechanical equipment (i.e. office equipment). Working knowledge of computer platforms, general application software and networking environments Demonstrates ability to work in a collaborative work team environment.
