Job description

  • The Dallas ISD Athletics is looking for multiple student interns to assist on our central stadium audio/visual crews to help provide first-class stadium experiences for student-athletes, coaches, staff, fans and the community. Student interns will work wired and/or wireless video cameras that video our eight stadium video boards with live content during varsity football and soccer games as well as track & field meets from August through April.
  • Perform assigned duties specific to the operational needs of the Department of Athletics.
  • Operate video cameras and technology in central Athletics stadiums.
  • Communicate effectively and respectfully with A/V Lead, Director, Stadium Manager, and Athletics staff.
  • Perform specific tasks under the guidance of staff to support program activities.
  • Participate in the set-up and tear-down in operation of Athletics events and program activities.
  • Make work assignment and punctuality to work essential functions of the job.
  • Follow all district and department safety guidelines and practices. Wear the appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
  • Provide feedback at the end of the internship to coordinator to help improve internship program.
  • Ability to demonstrate the following core values: trustworthiness, responsibility, respect, fairness, caring, and citizenship.
  • Must be at least 16 years of age.
  • Must be a current Dallas ISD high school student in 11th or 12th grade.
  • Must be able to work up to 14 hours a week during internship.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • Must receive parental consent to participate.
  • Demonstrated ability to follow directions in written and verbal form.
  • Demonstrates ability to perform responsibilities under direct supervision.
  • Demonstrated ability to read and follow documentation such as safety procedures, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
