Description:
This position is for a Medical Surgical/Oncology Registered Nurse.
The nurse will work 3x12-hour night shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM.
Weekdays and every other weekend shift are required.
The unit has a 29-bed capacity catering to adult patients battling cancer, providing palliative care and family education on oncological processes.
Experience in telemetry and chemotherapy administration is preferred but not mandatory.
Patient ratios are 4-5:1 during the day and 5-6:1 at night.
The nurse may float within the scope to meet facility needs.
The facility provides support services such as IV Teams.
Oncology patients will include those receiving radiation therapy and patients with urological and telemetry needs.
The role involves management of various procedures and patient care protocols relevant to the specialty.
