Job description

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Process Engineer is responsible for evaluating and improving manufacturing processes, tooling, machining methods, and equipment capabilities to support operational efficiency, quality, and cost reduction initiatives. This role drives continuous improvement efforts through tooling enhancements, equipment upgrades, machining process optimization, and implementation of effective manufacturing solutions.

The position supports the full project lifecycle, including CAD/CAM drawing creation, technical detailing, quoting, execution, and implementation of manufacturing methods within the ERP system. The Process Engineer also provides hands-on support to the manufacturing floor by troubleshooting production issues, performing root cause analysis, and recommending practical, data-driven corrective actions. Strong mechanical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate across departments are essential for success in this role.

ESSENTAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

·         Identify and implement process improvements for machining operations and products

·         Develop, maintain, and update manufacturing procedures and documentation 

·         Develop and coordinate training programs for employees

·         Support quoting activities for new business opportunities

·         Assist in the design and development of tooling and fixtures, including CAD/CAM modeling

·         Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineers to develop process improvements for tube forming, laser cutting, and welding operations

·         Support the Quality Department in maintaining compliance with quality management systems and standards, including AS9100
