Job description

The System Administrator will work with the IT Operations Manager and Chief Information Officer to manage the overall IT infrastructure for the hospital. This includes planning, implementation, testing, monitoring/analyzing, daily support, and troubleshooting issues. Frequent projects with multiple hospital departments and/or 3rd party vendors.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills required due to interactions with technical vendors, as well as end-users. Teamwork mindset required. Ability to work independently, but within management guidelines, policies, and procedures such as approvals and change management.
Onsite office hours required Monday - Friday. Rotating call schedule for after hours, weekends, and holidays.
The System Administrator is responsible for the systems listed.
Including but not limited to:
  • Primary responsibilities
    • Physical and Virtual servers
    • Mobile device management
    • Thin client administration
    • Server and workstation patching
    • User management/Single Sign-on/MFA
    • Email administration including 3rd party software
    • Video conferencing/telehealth
  • Secondary responsibilities
    • Storage Area Networks (SAN -Dell Unity/Isilon)
    • Network switches and wireless access points (Cisco)
    • Firewalls and web filters
    • Backups
    • Telephony

Education and Experience:
โ€ข Bachelor Degree preferred or equivalent IT experience
โ€ข Minimum 3-5 years' experience in a healthcare or similar complex environment
