 This contract position offers an excellent opportunity for healthcare professionals to provide exceptional patient care in a collaborative and supportive environment.

As a Locum Cardiology Physician, you will play a crucial role in diagnosing and treating patients with cardiovascular conditions. Your expertise will not only enhance our team but also contribute to the overall mission of delivering high-quality healthcare services to our community.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough patient evaluations and assessments
  • Diagnose and treat a variety of cardiovascular conditions
  • Participate in developing and implementing treatment plans
  • Educate patients and their families regarding health management
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure coordinated care
  • Review and interpret diagnostic tests and imaging
  • Provide guidance on lifestyle changes and preventive measures
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
Requirements
  • MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
  • Associate-level experience in Cardiology or related fields
  • Active medical license in the state of practice
  • Strong knowledge of cardiovascular diseases and treatments
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment
  • Commitment to providing high-quality patient care
  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems

Schedule: 24-hour general and STEMI call, 7a-7a

Setting: Inpatient

Daily Volume: 5 consults on general call and 2-6 coronary angiograms

Patient Population: Ages 18+

Cases: STEMIs, diagnostic angiograms, PCIs, L&R heart caths, IVUS/FFR/IFR

Team Structure: 3 General Cardiologists, 2 Interventional Cardiologists, and 1 NP

Support Staff: Fully staffed office, 1 MA, anesthesia, and hospitalists

EMR: Meditech

Must be board-certified or board-eligible

BLS, ACLS, and DEA required

Paid travel & expenses
