Life Enrichment Assistant

The Glen at Willow Valley Communities – Lancaster, PA


Full-Time | $15.50/hour

What You’ll Do

As a Life Enrichment Assistant, you’ll help design and deliver programs that encourage Residents to connect, grow, and thrive.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Planning, organizing, and leading daily recreational and enrichment programs
  • Encouraging Residents to socialize, build friendships, and confidently engage in group activities
  • Leading exercise programs such as stretching, calisthenics, and group sports
  • Coordinating entertainment, special events, and community outings (lunch trips, sightseeing, picnics, and more)
  • Accompanying Residents on outings and providing support throughout activities
  • Visiting non-ambulatory Residents or those at risk of isolation to ensure inclusion
  • Completing initial Resident assessments within 48 hours of admission and assisting with ongoing program planning
  • Maintaining accurate attendance records and required documentation
  • Evaluating Resident engagement and communicating observations to the team
  • Supporting and supervising volunteers during programs
  • Preparing weekly programming plans and submitting supply requests
  • Maintaining and operating program equipment (projectors, computers, audiovisual systems, etc.)
  • Collaborating across departments to promote a positive and supportive team culture

What We’re Looking For
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Must be comfortable presenting, speaking, and reading in front of groups
  • Experience in recreation, activities, or a related field preferred (but not required)
  • Creativity, flexibility, and a genuine passion for working with older adults
  • Excellent multitasking skills required

Schedule
  • Monday through Friday, 10:00 a.m. – 6:30 p.m.
  • Every other weekend and holiday
