Role: Calibration Technician

Location: Rockville, MD
Contract Duration: 3 Years

Position Overview

We are seeking a Calibration Technician to support calibration and validation activities within a GMP-regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing facility. This is an excellent opportunity for a junior-level professional with 2–3 years of experience in calibration or validation who is looking to expand their expertise while working with a wide range of manufacturing and laboratory equipment.

The successful candidate will perform routine calibration, maintenance, and documentation activities to ensure equipment accuracy, reliability, and compliance with GMP standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform calibration and preventive maintenance on manufacturing, laboratory, and utility equipment.
  • Support calibration activities for both new and existing equipment across the facility.
  • Execute equipment calibration according to approved procedures and schedules.
  • Assist with validation and qualification activities as needed.
  • Troubleshoot calibration issues and document deviations when required.
  • Maintain accurate calibration records and GMP-compliant documentation.
  • Support temperature mapping and equipment monitoring activities.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Maintenance, Validation, and Quality teams to ensure equipment compliance.
  • Follow all GMP, safety, and regulatory requirements.

Required Qualifications

  • 2–3 years of calibration and/or validation experience in a GMP-regulated pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or life sciences environment.
  • Hands-on experience with calibration of laboratory and manufacturing equipment.
  • Familiarity with one or more of the following:
    • Kaye Validators
    • Autoclaves
    • Freezers
    • Data Loggers
    • Temperature Mapping
    • Deviation Documentation
  • Basic understanding of equipment qualification and validation principles.
  • Strong attention to detail and documentation practices.
  • Good troubleshooting, communication, and organizational skills.
