Job Summary
A Calibration Technician is responsible for the calibration, routine inspection, testing, maintenance and repair of instruments, meters, gauges and other testing and measuring equipment. The Calibration Technician ensures they are calibrated correctly and provide accurate measurements. Provides support to the engineering and manufacturing functions as it relates to calibration.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Perform internal calibration of equipment in accordance with the quality system requirements, that demonstrates products manufactured by Nordson EFD meet the requirements of end users and the company.
  • Coordinate external calibration of equipment in accordance with the quality system requirements, that demonstrates products manufactured by Nordson EFD meet the requirements of end users and the company.
  • Maintain the calibration system in accordance to the established frequency.
  • Perform routine equipment maintenance.
  • Maintain calibration equipment and supplies.
  • Ensure equipment is safe for operation and suggest upgrades when appropriate.
  • Backup incoming inspection as needed.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required
  • A minimum of 2 years or calibration experience or experience with measuring equipment
  • ASQ CCT Certification preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Adobe)
  • Competency with calibration software

Preferred Skills and Abilities
  • The ability to communicate using English, as needed, to effectively communicate results and issues through oral and written communications
  • Working knowledge of ISO9001-2015
  • Strong organizational skills and detail oriented
  • Energetic self starter
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast paced manufacturing environment
  • Experience using ERP software, SAP preferred
  • Experience using EIQ Software is a plus

Lab/Manufacturing environment. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. While performing the duties of this job, the employee must have the ability to lift up to 30 pounds daily. Must wear safety glasses, gloves, hair net and lab coat. Magnification is used during the inspection process.
The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate.
