Administrative Assistant – Police DepartmentCity of Junction City | Full-Time | $5,027–$5,881 Monthly + Excellent BenefitsThe City of Junction City is looking for a highly organized, dependable, and versatile professional to join our Police Department as an Administrative Assistant. This is a unique opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, takes initiative, and wants to play an important role in serving our community.This position provides confidential administrative support to the Chief of Police and department leadership while also managing a variety of department operations, special projects, records, and communications. Responsibilities include coordinating schedules and meetings, preparing correspondence and reports, maintaining training and certification records, supporting department accreditation, coordinating special projects, processing invoices and timekeeping, and assisting with equipment and facility needs.The position also plays an important role in the City's public communications by developing website content, managing social media, assisting with printed communications, and helping promote a positive image of the City and Police Department. You will regularly interact with employees, community members, and outside organizations, making strong communication and customer service skills essential.The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, professional, comfortable handling confidential information, and able to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines. Strong written and verbal communication skills and proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook are required. Experience with social media, website content, document design, or grant writing is a plus.Minimum qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent and at least two years of experience in a position with similar responsibilities.
